S O B E K
O Sobek,
enchantress bathing at dusk
in the mud-still sacred lake;
you fill my heated evening heart with lust.
Around you small ripples make
brilliant eau-de-nil delight.
Grey dust
sluiced from your gorgeous skin
reveals iridescent hide
glistening blue as midday sky.
All hush
as the flaming crazed sun rakes
in day's end in purple rush,
leaving you glowing
and naked
B A S T E T
She sits high & dark before the entrance;
the entrance to my heart.
My love, so proud upon her pedestal,
purring a soothing charm,
trying to disarm
my unknowing fears,
which year by year,
in these temples of hush,
are thrust between her unmoving paws.
My love, my dearest Bastet,
could you wrap me in feline embrace,
your black titties shrouding my face
while your gold collar gleams
your endless wealth?
I kneel close to your untwitching tail,
beneath your wide-eyed silken veil.
Oh, I am ecstatic to be male!
Dear love, the dark of these millennia
holds our passion still and sacred
in the jasmine scented air.
Kiss me my beauty.
T A W E R E T
Dawn, & pink water sparkles
as there she rises with the dew.
Taweret, your rump is
two huge blue moons
quivering like turquoise jellies
in the shallows.
Oh that my hands could scatter water from
your shimmering flanks.
Oh that your swollen belly
pulsated beneath me again.
Such fecundity, product of
our languorous nights,
makes me pine for our pinnacles
of realized love.
Nut, as she digests the sun
in twelve red bites,
shrouds our passion.
Your lips envelop me.
Your coquettish water games
arouse me even more,
while the bird upon your back
notes our entwining.
Blissful Taweret, you are divine,
and in this misty dawn
I know you're mine.
H O R U S
Horus, king of the sky,
your laser eyes
unblinking see into my heart.
Stare down now
for I palpitate with love.
I know you are the mightiest
& from top of rock, pillar
or pyramid you rule,
absolutely.
Even at searing midday
when a shadowless
sun pounds the desert
I long for you.
Yes, rear before me
with outflung wings
while I, awed, melt beneath your claws
& become a trickle of moisture,
gift to the flowing Nile.
N E I T H
Aye my little Neith,
small round Neith,
I do adore your plumpness
& determination to bring home the goods.
Remember how
I helped you
arry a wheat ear
& a blade of grass?
How we dawdled in the dust
slaking our lust...
Now I wear you
on my finger.
Not as much fun
rubbing you to bring me luck
as our youthful fucks!
T H O T H
My love, my Thoth,
never can I have enough
hugging against your rough
warm frame.
Your arms, when not about me.
pass the moon
over our heads
through lapis skies
a-twinkle with stars.
Softly the night encases
our breath. Sweet bliss
with scented kiss.
Here I am safe until morning
when once again you'll shriek & howl.
stamping your tree swinging feet
to raise the sun.
You call it singing and dancing.
I say yabber & scarper.
I would remain for ever
cradled in hairy embrace
without such rude awakening.
H A T H O R
See, now the red sun rests between her horns.
Oh wide-eyed Hathor, how enticing are
your soft ears twitching in the noontime haze.
Happy me as I gaze into soft eyes!
To love such a beauty is a delight.
Your sweet scent nurtures my desire.
Fragrant love, nuzzling in my embrace,
tasting your flowery breath has me undone.
Hathor, let us lie here beside the Nile
dallying the hours among lotus fronds.
Then we'll beget the night between our thighs
while I stroke your hide with a lover's sigh.
A N U B I S
Carry my soul oh gracious God.
Carry my soul beloved Dog.
Carry with care in gentle paws.
Carry my heart through closed doors.
Carry the kernel of my being.
Carry these precious things unseeing.
Carry me westwards to my love.
Make him wait for me at the gate.
At the Pylon to forever
make my love turn and touch me now.
Dear Anubis, carter of life,
lead me on, silken Nubian,
with your hounds ears always listening.
I love you for you carry me
on your quiet boat to my darling's star.
